NEW BEGINNINGS SKATEBOARDING : LIFE BEGINS HERE™

On Saturday Aug.1.09 Volcom Stone’s WILD IN THE PARKS [North American Tour] hit Canada’s Capital [OTTAWA]. Set up to be one of the biggest local competitions of the year, Volcom spared no expense as this year’s winner’s [7th place and on >> in 3 divisions] walked away with tons of prizes, skate goods // merch // prize money, as well as an invite to compete in the $20,000 finals. It was a crazy day of skating with some amazing rippers, young and old[er].

When I showed up at the park to skate I had no idea that the event was even going on or that I would find hundreds of people filling up the local park, as well as 100+ competitors tearing it up.
